When Canton began nearly twenty years ago, we weren’t simply searching for exceptional tea. We were searching for a different way of thinking about it. One that looked beyond commodity and convenience, recognising tea as something shaped by people, place and craft.
That journey has taken us from mist-covered mountains and ancient tea forests to small family gardens and generations of producers who continue to refine their craft with patience and care. Along the way, we’ve learnt that remarkable tea isn’t created by chance. It is the result of thousands of thoughtful decisions, made season after season, year after year.

Wherever possible, we work directly with the people who produce our teas. Visiting origin, learning from each harvest and building relationships that continue over many years.
