origin
Robert Wilson Ceylon Teas is a sixth generation tea producer specialising in the production, blending and manufacture of high quality black teas from regions across Sri Lanka. New Vithanakande BOP1 comes from Sabaragamuwa, a relatively low-altitude area in Sri Lanka, where the rich and fertile alluvial soils and microclimates create excellent tea-growing conditions.
flavour
The hot, humid and rainfall-heavy climate of the Sabaragamuwa region creates ideal conditions for black tea production. Brewed at a high temperature, New Vithanakande BOP1 should yield a full-bodied, aromatic liquor with distinctive notes of sweet caramel. The high quality manufacturing methods further enhance the flavour, resulting in a moreish and perfectly balanced black tea that’s delicious black or white.
