White Tea: loose leaf

Canton White Peach and Mango Tea

Lào Cai, Vietnam, and Fujian Province, China

A fresh and fruity blend of high grade white tea, natural peach and mango flavour, rose petals, and real mango pieces. The sweetness of the peach and mango is balanced beautifully by the floral rose and aromatic tones of the white tea. The teas come from Fujian Province, China and Lào Cai, Vietnam – where the Bàn Liên Cooperative buys fresh leaves from local families farming tea in the mountains of Vietnam. The cooperative is both organic and fairtrade certified.

flavour

Picked young, white tea leaves are dried quickly with only minimal oxidisation, making it the least processed of any tea. The result is a gorgeously delicate and fresh flavoured tea – often with a surprisingly full-bodied and creamy mouthfeel.

The two high-grade aromatic white teas in this blend marry perfectly with the all-natural peach and mango flavour, rose petals and real mango pieces. Sweet, floral and fruity – with notes of vanilla and fresh fruit.

 origin

Map of China and Southeast Asia

The white teas are from Fujian Province, China and Lào Cai, Vietnam. The Vietnamese tea is made by Bàn Liên Cooperative. Created in 2005, the Bàn Liên cooperative is located in the heart of the Bac Hà district in the mountains of North Vietnam. In the midst of dense and varied vegetation, the cooperative employs 10 people at the manufacturing plant and buys the fresh leaves from 178 families, most of them from the Tay minority. Certified organic in 2007, the co-operative obtained certification in fair trade in 2015.
