Produced with the expert help of Beverly Wainwright (founder of Scottish Tea Factory), Big Easy yields a bright, light golden-amber liquor – and unusual notes of oak, sandalwood, honeysuckle and sweet olive. step 1: leaves
For one cup, measure out 3 grams into your teapot or brew mug.
step 2: water
Heat 250ml of water to 95°C.
step 3: time
Pour your heated water over the leaves and steep for 4 minutes.

Fleur De Lis Tea keeps 100 acres of the 160 acre pine plantation wild, which is also home to free-ranging turkeys and diverse wildlife, creating a natural and biodiverse terroir for tea-growing. To extract the best flavour, the leaves are hand-plucked, withered for up to 20 hours, rolled, oxidised and then dried in a Chinese tea drier. The result is a sweet, golden black tea with beautiful notes of oak, sandalwood, honeysuckle and sweet olive.

Fleur De Lis Tea Company is based on a pine plantation in Amite, Louisiana, where founder David Barron had planned to retire and enjoy the outdoor life. In 2017, David was offered 1,000 tea plants from a friend, and a Louisiana tea farm was born. The young tea plants grow in and amongst the pine trees, benefitting from their protection and nutrient-rich soils.
2022 was the first year Fleur De Lis Tea Company commercially produced tea. With expert help from Beverly Wainwright of the Scottish Tea Factory (and Nine Ladies Dancing fame), the first signature Louisiana tea was crafted: Big Easy Black Tea for the Soul.
