Here in its purest form, it is a deep, dark and deliciously assertive tea from the Khongea estate at the heart of Assam’s tea growing region on the banks of the Brahmaputra river. Owned since 1949 by the Prakash family, it is an exemplary tea estate with high standards of welfare and state of the art production methods.

A robust tea with character, depth and rich malt overtones. The smoothness of caramel leaves a great mouthfeel and a hint of raisin is in the aftertaste.
For the ideal cup of Canton Assam, steep 4g of loose leaf in 250ml of 95°C water for four minutes if you’re taking it with milk, and two minutes if you’re taking it black.
