It looks good, tastes good, does good. Incredibly quick and simple to make, jumps off the menu and offers a healthy margin to boot. Zingy green, healthy-as-you-like Canton Matcha muddled with sweet fruit juice, fresh herbs and topped with refreshing sparkling water. Shake things up with your own unique combination of fruits and herbs- add a shot of rum or vodka to take it from daytime to night.
The Canton Matcha Cooler Basic Recipe
1 tsp Canton Matcha (sieved)
125 ml fruit juice
100 ml sparkling water
Canton Matcha Shaker or cocktail shaker
1. Vigorously shake the Matcha and fruit juice to combine.
2. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water.
Shake it up a bit...
-Try different juices. Cloudy apple, pineapple and mango work best.
-Add fresh herbs. Basil, Thai basil, kaffir lime leaf, mint, tarragon, lemon verbena and dill are all perfect. Either infuse the herbs into the juice in advance, or bruise and shake with the matcha to order.
-Add a twist of citrus. A squeeze of lemon or lime adds zing.
-Go wild with garnish. Fresh herbs, edible flowers, slices of fruit.
-Add a shot for nightime. Add a shot of your spirit of choice (match to the fruit juice). How about pineapple, fresh mint, lime juice and white rum? Or apple, dill and vodka?
Our favourite combination : Cloudy apple juice infused with Thai basil, kaffir lime and a dash of lime juice.
